Meet Dean
Dean Krossynski is the mastermind behind 101 Boxing and Sports Conditioning where he is changing the lives of both young and old in the Ballito community and surrounding areas. Since a young age, Dean has been involved in all thing’s fitness with a heavy focus on track sprinting, boxing and sports conditioning, as well as mental performance and life coaching.
“I have been involved in coaching for over two decades. I’ve worked in big commercial gyms and private gyms. I have had two of my own private gyms and now have my third private gym, fortunately now at the beautiful beach. I have developed an early childhood development training program called SuperKids which teaches children seven of the major sports taught in primary school (cricket, rugby, tennis, soccer, netball, hockey and athletics). Ive worked and trained alongside some of the greatest in the industry. Being related to the late Reg Park and Jonnie Isaacs means training is in my blood. Coached by my father Errol Krossynski and brother Justin in track and cross-county, as well as Andrew and Darryn Anthony in weightlifting and powerlifting, Owen van Niekerk on the track and Sean and Peter Smith from the Smiths and Errol Saffy with the boxing. I take great pride in using my knowledge and helping live their best lives.”
Dean loves all things exercise. “I don’t have a favourite however track sprinting would be on top of my list.”
Dean is happily married to his beautiful wife Lauren and they share a beautiful daughter, Lexi. Besides the many pets in their household, including snakes, bunnies and cats, the most dominant and playful is their gorgeous staffy, Deisel who pretty much runs the show at home as well as in the gym. Deisel greets all guests and expects a tummy rub at all times. He is the heart of the home.
Dean eats as healthy as possible to maintain his great physique but on cheat days, his favourite meal is a margarita pizza with extra chicken and avo. Friday nights are a guaranteed sushi night from the local Friend House take away in Ballito.
When Dean is not training, he enjoys spending time at the local coffee shops (coffee is his other greatest love!), the beach and the bush.
“My role model is Arnold not because he’s the all-time gym guy, but more because of his mind and how he uses it. I love the way he creates his world by using his mind and that is living proof of what I coach daily with my clients.”
Deans favourite quote is: “The body achieves what the mind believes.” – Erin Grey.
